Florence Chadwick and 3 mantras of success

We all want to achieve something in life. They also work hard to get it. But sometimes, we face challenges that prevent us from moving forward.

Gradually we begin to realize that difficulties are more powerful than we are, we will not be able to overcome them. We feel that we will not be able to achieve what we are working hard to achieve, and we accept everything.

Today's story is for those who are facing difficult situations right now. And are feeling weak.

See, life can be hard, problems can knock you down, but if you stay to the end, you will surely win.

Florence Chadwick and 3 Mantras of Success

The decision to cross the Catalina Channel

Florence Chadwick was 34 when she traveled from Catalina Island to the California coast; Decided to swim 21 miles across the so-called Catalina Channel. This was the first attempt by a woman to cross the Catalina Channel.

July 4, 1952

Wearing a swimsuit, Chadwick plunged into the water with the determination to win and began to swim. The weather was very challenging. The ocean was cold ice, and the fog was so thick that it was difficult to see the support team coming in the boat behind. Both the tide and the weather were against him.

5 hours passed, but the fog was not taking the name of removal. Sitting in the boat with the support team, his mother was encouraging him to move on. After swimming for 15 consecutive hours, he began to have doubts about his ability to swim. She told her mother that she did not think she could make this record.

Because of the fog, she could not see the beach, so she had no idea how far she was from her destination. And unfortunately, after 16 hours of difficult swimming he gave up and with great frustration, he asked his support team to get him out of the water. But when she reached the shore, she found that she was less than a mile from the shore.

He later told a reporter, "Look, I don't want to make any excuses, but if I could see the ground, I would definitely make a record."

The fog made her unable to see her target and she felt she would not be able to reach. She would have reached the shore if she had stayed in the water just a little longer. Two months after this failed attempt he tried again. And, although this time the fog was very dense, but this time when she was pushing herself, she had a mental image of the coastline in her mind. And not only was she successful but -

Catalina became the first woman in the world to swim across the Channel.

This story teaches us three lessons of success-

Never Give Up: Don't give up

As Thomas Edison has said-

"There are many people who have failed in life who do not even know how close they were to success when they gave up."

Sometimes we get very close to our destination when we are facing difficult challenges. But still we give up, just because we feel we can't get to the destination.

Remember, there is a beautiful edge in front of the mist and you are extremely close to it. If you continue to swim even in the midst of those dense foggy problems, if you continue to face them, then you will surely reach the shore, you will win.

Defeat can be turned into victory

A lot of people can't do many things just because they failed when they first tried to do it. If Florence Chadwick also considered her first failure to be the last, she would never have been able to cross the Catalina Channel.

Like them, we must look forward to turning the despair of defeat into the passion of victory.

If you read the biography of any successful person, you will find two things in common:

First, every successful person has faced failure at some point in their life.

And secondly, every single successful person has tried again after facing defeat.

Chadwick did the same.

But there are many people in this world who do their best to reach their destination. Even after that, when they do not get their destination, they give up.

Look, there's nothing wrong with giving up, but only if you stop trying again.

Whenever we set big goals, temporary defeats and obstacles are inevitable. Just because you have failed once does not mean that you will fail forever.

Never give up trying, because if you keep moving forward you will have a chance to succeed someday. But if you stop trying, it is guaranteed that you will fail forever.

Believe in yourself: Believe in yourself

Mark Twain has stated, "The size of the dog does not matter in the fight, the size of the fight in the dog matters.

It matters how strong you are on the inside, how strong you are and how confident you are in yourself.

Despite failing in her first attempt, Chadwick did not lose faith… she was sure she could cross the Channel. And with the strength of this self-belief, she crossed the channel in the second attempt.

Guys, one thing is for sure, if you want to fulfill your dreams, you have to believe in yourself. For this you do not need to be the most talented in the world. You don't even have to be the smartest person in the world. If you continue to strive with confidence in yourself, you will surely succeed.

Thanks!
