Every medicinal plant has some medicinal properties. . The demand for medicinal plants as a raw material in the pharmaceutical industry is increasing in our country like all over the world. Unani, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy are being used as raw materials in the production of medicines as well as a lot of herbal ingredients are now being used in beauty parlors and cosmetics.

 

There are about 25 such medicines in Bangladesh which can be made more profitable by producing at a higher rate on less land in a short period of time. Notable among these are Mint, Aloe Vera, Thankuni, Arjuna, Amalaki, Haritaki, Kalmegh, Neem, Behera, Kalijira, Basak, Ultakamal, Ashwagandha, Sarpagandha, Tulsi, Fenugreek, Sonapata, Yastimadhu, Adalah, Babla , Onion, etc.

 

The following are some of the medicinal properties of medicinal plants:

 

Basque:

 

Bask is an Indian subcontinental medicinal plant. It grows more in moist, plains. More than born near the locality. 1 to 2 m with light yellow stalks. Tall trees are almost always green in season.
