The importance of cleanliness in Islam
Garbage is often seen scattered around us. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain the balance of the environment by cleaning them. Because they pollute the environment. As a result, diseases and illnesses increase in society. Which is not desirable to us. Because wellness is the root of all happiness. Keeping the body healthy is one of the desires of any human being. The expectation of the mind alone. But to stay physically healthy, you need to keep yourself clean. Uncleanness must be removed. Garbage should be dumped in certain places. Clothes should be kept clean. The house should be kept clean and tidy. Because cleanliness is very important in Islam. Because the health of a person depends a lot on the health of the environment. When the environment is clean, if it is suitable for living, the human body and mind are much better. Almighty Allah has given the highest priority to the well-being of human beings. Has placed special emphasis on cleanliness. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also said, ‘Cleanliness is half of faith’. Muslim.
Cleanliness has been given much importance in the Qur'an-Hadith. From the cleanliness of the person to the cleanliness of the house and the surroundings, there is no aspect that is not discussed in the Qur'an-Hadith. What is the reason that Islam has placed so much importance on cleanliness? The main reason for this is that if we are clean, we will be healthy, we will be in good health.
The people of Kubar near Medina lived a very clean life. Praising them profusely, Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘There are people out there who like to purify themselves well. And Allah loves those who purify themselves. ' Most of the diseases in our body are due to impurity. There are many who do not bathe regularly, do not brush their teeth properly. What happens as a result of this is that it gradually causes various small diseases in the body. And these small diseases will one day become big. Therefore, the Qur'an urges people to be clean and pure, saying, "Surely Allah loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves."
Good health is a valuable resource. We have to do everything in our daily life, worship, home, and family and also take care of our health. Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged us to use health for good deeds before we get sick. He said, use health, protect health. According to another hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called a Companion who used to fast all day and perform Nafl prayers all night, and said: Know, ‘Surely your body has a right over you.’ Bukhari.
